Ashley-Lauren Elrod is a survivor-turned-social impact leader dedicated to empowering survivors and shaping policies that protect children and families. As an Advisory Board Member for the Chicago Children's Advocacy Center, newly appointed Community Board Member for Brooklyn’s District 11, and partner with the National Children's Alliance, she amplifies global efforts for the rescue and rehabilitation of those affected by abuse and trafficking.
Her Emmy-nominated, Cannes-winning partnership with Dove highlights her advocacy for mental health and child protection. A board-certified mental health coach, Ashley-Lauren offers trauma-informed healing to those navigating generational trauma. Her upcoming works, The Diary of a Recovering Inner Child and Maya's Magical Adventures, aim to empower children and survivors through healing and education on body autonomy and self-worth.

Ashley-Lauren Elrod is a nationally recognized survivor turned child advocate, mental health coach, and survivor leader with over a decade of experience supporting children, women, and families impacted by abuse, trafficking, and trauma. As a former caregiver and long-time partner to organizations like the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center and the National Children’s Alliance, Ashley-Lauren has used her voice and expertise to influence legislation, create healing spaces, and lead prevention initiatives across the country. Her work is rooted in lived experience, professional training, and a deep commitment to empowering survivors and protecting the next generation.
